Position Overview: Senior Manager – International Tax

KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Manager to join our International Tax Practice.

Responsibilities

  • Advise multinational enterprises on critical business decisions such as location, entity choice, supply chain optimization, and capital mobilization while considering tax risk profiles, global effective tax rates, and cash posture.
  • Prepare and review complex tax models illustrating global tax attributes, effective tax rates, and cash tax expenses.
  • Guide clients on global tax planning decisions, anticipating potential implications and aligning them with broader business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Mergers & Acquisitions Tax teams to structure the tax aspects of transactions, including drafting opinions, memos, and Excel models.
  • Assist clients with tax provision preparation for financial statements and compliance-related tasks, including supporting KPMG audit teams on financial reporting of global tax implications.
  • Provide income tax treaty planning guidance for cross-border investments and trading activities.
  • Support alternative investment companies through the full investment lifecycle, offering tailored international tax expertise.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of recent experience in international tax, mergers and acquisitions, or federal tax planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or other approved credentials (must be obtained within one year of hire if not already held).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international and domestic tax law provisions.
  • Strong skills in research, writing, Excel modeling, and oral communication.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, lead teams, and mentor professionals while maintaining high client service standards.
  • Demonstrated success in building and strengthening client relationships and expanding KPMG’s market presence.
